The boss says he would "LIKE" to give us all a raise cuz its been awhile, but instead he is going to hire his wife's cousin so they can stay in this country legally.

I had to prepare a presentation for the faculty for our scheduled meeting today, per our principal's request. Then he cancelled the meeting because he had nothing on the agenda that couldn't wait until our next meeting. So glad I had everything prepared for a presentation I didn't want to do in the first place, jerk.

I got a job!!

Let's make a deal. You can take a whole bunch of time off on the company dime to have your kid, and we'll all work longer hours to cover your job, which you get back when you decide to descend from the happy mommy clouds.

Your part of the deal is to not bore us with endless stories of spit up and poopy and snot, and for god's sake don't bring the thing in to the office and force us to hold it!

Believe me, I know we don't make much. But you know - I like my job. I like my life. I'm okay with cutting back financially in order to enjoy down time.

So if there are smarter people out there working their tails off making tons more money - great! Go try and be one of them and stop your bitching.

Who knew "office assistant" meant running errands all over campus. If i don't lose weight from this job there is certainly something wrong with me. Wow, my shins are sore...

01.06.09 5:35a Oh. My. God. It's 8:03. I just walked in. I am still taking off my gloves, my scarf, hat and coat. I have not had a single sip of coffee yet. If you can't leave me freaking alone for another few minutes (at least!), I will snap. I DON'T want to discuss your weekend, or work, this EARLY in the morning.

I start at 8:00am. It was 8:03 when got all my winter stuff off and looked at the computer, and 8:35 when I was able to type the confession. I just really need a few minutes to "settle" before talking to another person, for sanity.

Salary freeze and no bonus this year. At least, I get to keep my job.
